CineJugaad DMCA Policy

Here at CineJugaad, we are strict about copyright laws – we know how many hours go into creating content whether from individual creators or small teams to whole institutions across India and beyond. If you own the copyright to content that appears on our site and you believe we’ve shared it in a way that makes it accessible where it’s not authorized, we’d like for you to let us know as soon as possible. Here’s how that all works, step by step: We’ll detail exactly how to report the problem, what we do when we receive your report and how you can fix things if something was mistakenly taken down. No complicated legalese — just easy, step-by-step guidance.

How to Submit a DMCA Notice

If you are the copyright owner (or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner) and believe that content on the SITE infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a notice by providing our Copyright Agent with information regarding such alleged infringement. Include the information in writing to ensure we can act swiftly — no waiting around for missing info:
Your complete name, postal address, current email address and telephone number. This allows us to get in touch if we have any questions (such as further details about the content).
It must provide a specific statement regarding the content which is considered as infringing. I.e: “XYZ Guide, produced in 2024 by my team at [insert full URL] available now on CineJugaad” Ambiguities (such as “some video that I created”) will delay us — more details mean we can more quickly light on the material.
A statement that you have a good faith belief the content was posted without permission of the copyright owner (or someone with authority to authorize the use).
Either a physical signature if you’re sending a hard copy or an electronic signature if you’re emailing the notice (bonus: it can be a typed name as long as it’s obvious who sent it).
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the info in your notice is accurate — and that you’re either the copyright owner or are authorized to act on their behalf.
Review to make sure you have everything before hitting send — one thing forgotten could mean we can’t start investigating immediately.

How We Respond to Your DMCA Notice

So, when we do receive a correct DMCA takedown notice (the type full of the info I mentioned), this is what happens next in full transparency—no hidden steps:
To begin, our group jumps in to take a look. We will seek out the reporting you noted, compare it against your description and determine whether other material is likely infringing. If it is, we will remove or bar access to it and prevent the sharing of any more.
Then, we’ll give you an update to confirm how we will have acted on your request. We’ll also let the person who posted the content know that we received a notice — and give them time to review it and decide whether they think a counter-notice is appropriate (more about that below).

Counter-Notification

Mistakes happen! If your videos were removed from CineJugaad due to a DMCA takedown but you believe the content removed was not infringing, or that you had the right to post and use it, or if there is fair use of file … you have the right to send us a counter-notice. Just include these details:
Your name, address, email and telephone number is included in your full contact info (same as the DMCA notice—please make us easy to reach).
An inventory of the content that was taken down and where it appeared on CineJugaad before it was removed, including the URL.
A statement that you have in good faith belief the disputing material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification (not, I must emphasize, that it has been taken down because it was infringing).
A physical or electronic signature.
A note in which you agree to abide by courts jurisdictional courts (in case your country or in India, if it is from CineJugaad that You have used).
If we receive a valid counter notice, we will provide a copy to the person who sent the original DMCA notice. We’ll let them know that we might still repost your content — unless they tell us within a certain amount of time that they have filed court action to block it. If we don’t receive that court notice, we will restore your content.

Repeat Infringers: What Happens Next

Per DMCA guidelines, we have to ban users who repeatedly post infringing content. If you're a user and receive multiple valid DMCA notices for different content (not just 1 mistake) or even 3 warnings, we have to ban the account permanently. Nobody wants to do this — we want everyone to be able to use the platform as intended — but if we are going to protect creators’ rights and keep these people from repeatedly taking advantage of others, then let’s at least hold repeat offenders accountable.
